Woodfest is an adventure-packed weekend that is held every year in mid-September at a camp in Somerset, PA. We arrive on a Friday night, then on Saturday you spend the day on the adventure trip of your choice. On Sunday, we spend the day at camp playing on all of their cool toys.

Each day we will also have a teaching and worship session designed to help people explore and grow in their faith. The goal of this trip is to help new people get connected relationally and to launch us into the fall semester. Details

When and Where: Sept 14th-16th, 2018. We will meet at The Chapel's Green Campus at 4:30pm (1800 Raber Rd, Uniontown OH).

Cost: is $75 per person and $47 for freshman and new students. This includes the cost of all food, transportation, and adventure trips. You will not find a better deal! Additionally, t-shirts will be given to the first 125 people who sign up.

*Note: Vans will assist students without transportation to get to Green. Meet at the circle between the Honors Res Hall and Arts and Sciences building, or in the parking lot behind Exchange Res Hall (by the volleyball court) at 4pm. We should arrive back around dinner time on Sunday.

After you have decided on your adventure click on the blue button at the bottom of this page to start your registration process.

3. Register

You should be redirected to our registration page. Fill out the required personal and payment information and hit "submit."

4. Go!

You should receive a confirmation email right away and then you will receive another email the week before the trip to remind you of important details.

White Water Rafting

White Water Rafting

Enjoy the beauty and excitement of the Lower Youghiogheny River. The Lower Yough’s Class III rapids will challenge and excite, but not intimidate even the novice rafter. This adventure explores the seven and a half miles of the world famous Yough River in Ohiopyle State Park. It is a guide-escorted tour where the guides will paddle along instructing, coaching, and assisting you as you steer your way down the scenic river. A great choice for a wide variety of people. (80 total spaces)

Mountain Biking

Mountain Biking

This is both the most adventurous and physically challenging of the trips offered. The Laurel Highlands Mountains provides the setting for your adventure as you get to try out your skills on a variety of paths and trails. If you are looking for a challenge than look no further because this is the trip for you! (14 total spaces)

Creeking / Cliff Jumping

Creeking / Cliff Jumping

If you want the chance to get outside to hike and explore this is the option for you! The group will start its ascent up Morgan’s creek in PA’s state game-land. The hike is approximately 3 miles long and includes sites such as “Dragon Falls.” The hike finishes with the option of trying out a natural water slide with a 10ft drop into the pool below, or the chance to jump from a 20ft cliff! (24 total spaces)

Creeking 2.0 / Cascade Falls

Creeking 2.0 / Cascade Falls

Due to the popularity of the original creeking trip we have decided to add a second location. The hike is also approximately 3 miles long and includes several cascades, waterfalls and ends with a 100ft long natural water-slide known as medow run. A great way to get in some hiking and stay cool along the way. (24 total spaces)

High Adventure

High Adventure

If you are looking for a chill yet fun activity that allows you to do as little or as much as you would like, then this is a great option for you! This trip stays at camp and opens up both the high ropes course and the climbing tower for enjoyment. (30 total spaces)

Hiking

Hiking

If you're looking for an activity that gets you out into nature but isn't too strenuous, then this is the trip for you! You'll head to a beautiful trailhead in the heart of the Laurel Highlands of Pennsylvania and enjoy exploring trails while hanging out with other students. (18 total spaces)

Caving group #1

Caving group #1

Ever wanted to go spelunking? This is your chance! If you choose this trip you will begin with an uphill hike in the mountains of PA and then make your way underground into Coon Cave. Once inside, you will get to explore the unknown through a variety of tunnels and underground rooms! (15 total spaces)

Difficulty Level: 3-4 out of 5

*Note: this trip requires an above average level of fitness and athleticism and no fear of tight spaces

Caving group #2
