Learn the new sport of stand up Paddleboarding. The trip will consist of a 5 mile trip (twice as long as last year) in the Jupiter Inlet. Participants will get a chance to spend some time both in a Kayak and on a paddleboard. The group will be broken down into 2 groups of 35 and if tides allow you will be making the trip either to or from the boy scout camp, where we will be staying, to the Jupiter Outdoor Center. The trip will require a significant amount
of paddling so please keep this in mind before you sign up (75 spaces).
Spend your day exploring the reefs and wrecks of Ft. Lauderdale on the glass bottom Aqua View. The boat will drive you out to several different locations where you can drop into the ocean and explore away. Your mask, fins, and snorkel will all be provided. This is a great option for a wide variety of people
Extra Beach Day
Lets be honest, when you live in north east Ohio an extra day at the beach in January always sounds appealing. If you would like one more day to hang out at the beach to kick back and relax then this is the choice for you! (56 spaces)
Everglades Fan Boat/ Alligator show
If you have ever wanted to check out the famous FL Everglades then this is your chance. Jump on a fan boat and skim across Florida's largest national park looking for alligators and other native wildlife. The tour concludes with crazy people playing with alligators (24 spaces).
Try your luck at some drift fishing on a 55ft boat in the Atlantic Ocean. The trip will be roughly 4 hours long and will be located about a mile offshore of Ft Lauderdale beach. You will target Kingfish, Mackerel, Tuna, Bonito, Mahi Mahi, Wahoo, Snapper, Grouper, and even the occasional Sailfish. Different species bite at different times of the year but there are lots of species that are possible to catch. On a drift fishing trip, you head to key fishing spots about a mile offshore, shut down the engines, and then let the wind and current slowly push the boat over the reefs and wrecks as you fish. Everyone fishes off the side of the boat, fishing the surface, mid-depth or on the bottom (35 spaces).
